Our Winemaker’s Reserve Petite Sirah is blended to produce an
outstanding wine! We take parts of the different Petite Sirah
vineyard blocks and identify the portions with the most fruit,
color, aromas, tannins, and overall flavor. The components are
blended and put into barrel to be aged for 36 months in American
oak.
The finished product is a wine whose toasty forwardness is a
spectacular introduction to the wine, and balances perfectly with
the full-bodied blend. The Winemaker Reserve should be aged for at
least 5 years so that the individual components can integrate and
produce a smoother wine (although it is drinkable now!). This wine
will be delicious in 10 years, so try and exercise some patience
and lay some down if possible.
